Born in Perth, Western Australia- Carla fell in love with a boy from Brooklyn and after they walked the Brooklyn bridge together in 2016, became an official New Yorker.

A member of SAG-AFTRA and Actor’s Equity Association since gaining permanent residency in the USA, recent productions include solo Shakespearean Cabaret ‘Unbecoming’ (Arts On Site), Medea in Euripides ‘Medea’ (Lenfest Centre of the Arts), ‘The Tiniest Thing’ (Australian Theatre Festival 2021), Cleopatra in Shakespeare’s ‘Antony and Cleopatra’ (AEA Showcase) and ‘Babette’s Feast’ at the Connelly Theater.

Carla’s audiobook narration for fiction and nonfiction titles include Victoria Finlay’s ‘Fabric’ for Tantor Media and Anna Willett’s ‘Lost to the Lake’, available on Audible, Amazon and iTunes.

Carla founded Shakespearean Cabaret Co in 2021, and her solo show ‘Whores and Weeping Women – a cabaret of Shakespearean Proportions’ has been performed in Melbourne, Perth and New York City from 2012 – 2021. Check out the sizzle reel from ‘Unbecoming’ in 2022, and the upcoming ‘Petty Tyrant’ in July 2023.

Television roles include Heidi Kesper in Channel 7’s ‘Winners and Losers’ pilot, and Max’s Mother in the Netflix series ‘Offspring’ series #4, episode#1. Film includes ‘Sunshine’, ‘Graceland’, ‘Award Winning Gay Short’ and ‘Meat Your Maker’TVC’s include Marley Spoons ‘Meal Kit’ and the role of the peacekeeper for ‘Smiths Chips’ which both ran nationally for 12 months. 

Notable Australian productions include the Australian premiere production of Stephen Sondheim’s ‘Saturday Night’ at the Melbourne Recital Centre, six shows with the ‘Australian Shakespeare Company’, a 12-month national tour of ‘Motherhood The Musical’ for HIT Productions, and regional tours of ‘Cosi’ and ‘The Crucible’ for Complete Works Theatre Company.

Carla is a trained singer in musical theatre, jazz, and Indian classical raga. She plays the violin and sight reads music well.

She loves music, yoga and the ocean, and endeavors to keep her houseplants alive.
